die beschäftigung mit elektronischer musik seit über 30 jahren (mit unterbrechungen) und eine popmusikalische sozialisation seit den 80er jahren haben matthias reinwarth (a.k.a. xenoton) zu einem aktiven musiker und promoter intelligenter elektronik in deutschland werden lassen. neben seiner tätigkeit für das online-label tonAtom veröffentlicht er seit 1998 unter dem namen xenoton" elektronische musik zwischen ambient, elektro und minimal und hat dabei seinen ganz eigenen stil entwickelt. seine arbeit ist heute geprägt vom spagat zwischen aktueller elektronischer musik, den heroen der pop-elektronik und der expressionistischen aufbruchstimmung der neuen musik zwischen 1900 und 1950.

working with electronic music for more than 30 years (with some interruptions) and an intensive (pop-)musical socialization since the early 80s have made matthias reinwarth (a.k.a. xenoton) an active electronic musician and independent music publisher in germany. apart from his work for the online label tonatom, he has been releasing electronic music between ambient, electro and minimal since 1998 (under the project name "xenoton"). having created his own special style, his work today is influenced by current electronica, the heroes of electronic pop history and the expressionist atmosphere of the breakthrough of contemporary music between 1900 and 1950.
