abjective is the musical project of two brothers from saint petersburg. founded in 2009, vadim pantin (using the moniker „domainmeta") took the artistic lead, while his older brother eugeny („kenagenashi") focuses on the project's final sound by doing the audio mastering.
their motivation to start creating their own music resulted from what they considered a lack of high-quality idm available at that time.
with their approach of "creating images from sounds" they are convinced that quality sound will always find its audience. their inspirations range from classic rock music like led zeppelin and pink floyd to german rave acts like marusha or dune and to bjork. being an autodidact domainmeta plays various musical instruments.
by now they have created three full-length albums and several sound projects. but abjective’s work is not only focused on music: they rather work as a cross-genre art project, which includes - but is not limited to - the collaboration with poets and photographers and the creation of scores and sounds for movie shorts and exhibitions.
